I am a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. I am also Part II tutor for undergraduates and MSc tutor for postgraduates on the MSc Statistics course. I am involved in teaching various statistics courses for both UG and PG students such as Longitudinal data analysis, Likelihood inference, Statistics in Practice and Statistical Models.
My main research interests are longitudinal and functional data analysis where replications of densely observed curve-like data are observed, e.g. growth measurements, spectrometric signals or neuron signals. These data are high-dimensional and have complex structure but often the underlying functions are assumed to be smooth. I use flexible non-parametric and semi-parametric approaches to explore and analyse these kind of data.
