I am a chair professor at the Department of Management Science. My professional expertise, research, and teaching interests include applications of Operations Research and Information Systems in Transportation and Logistics. I am teaching a module on Logistics Modeling. I have been involved as a principal investigator in more than 60 R&D projects funded by national and international organizations and companies in USA and Europe. I have received the 2005 President's Medal Award of the British Operational Research Society, and the Edelman Laureate Honorary Medal of the Institute of Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) in 2008.

My current research activity is focused on:

• Multimodal itinerary planning
• Location of stations of car sharing systems
• Airport planning and operations
• Emergency response logistics
• Supply chain performance assessment
